Charity Structure

Action for Neurodiversity (AfN) is a charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (charity number: 1148790).

Action for Neurodiversity is governed by a board of trustees. The charity trustees are responsible for the general control and management of the charity. The trustees give their time freely and receive no remuneration or other financial benefits. The trustees meet as a body quarterly and are responsible for all decisions taken in relation to running AfN and the activities provided by the charity.

Day-to-day leadership of the organisation is led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO works directly with our bookkeeper and accountants, all from TC Bulley Davey, who take care of the charity’s finances for us. The CEO also works with the designated safeguarding lead, Paul James, who assists in safeguarding matters.

Our other vital workers are our counsellors, student counsellors and emotional support workers, who work at the coal face of things with the clients of the charity, along with our volunteers
